Spoiler Alert: This article contains full spoilers for Classroom of the Elite Season 4 Episode 7.
Episode 7 opens with Takuya Yagami and Riku Utomiya already deep in talk about the upcoming uninhabited island exam, casually throwing around the idea of first-year alliances before Osamu Takahashi jumps into the conversation. The discussion quickly turns into whether Kazuomi Hōsen will even bother joining, with Yagami seeing it as uncertain while Utomiya thinks he’ll only move if there’s real benefit.
Yagami argues that Hōsen might get forced into action anyway since ignoring the situation could leave him and others out of key groups, especially with Class D not being in a strong negotiating position. Things start getting more serious as they realize the exam won’t be about academics alone, and even Class D could matter more than expected thanks to their physical edge—right before Hōsen himself shows up.

Are the First-Years Forming an Alliance?

The first-years meet already on edge, with Kazuomi Hōsen immediately demanding they stop wasting time and get to the point. Riku Utomiya doesn’t like his attitude and pushes back, and the situation quickly heats up before Takuya Yagami steps in to keep things from turning into a full fight. Even after that, Hōsen and Utomiya still clash briefly, and it nearly turns physical before being stopped. The conversation then shifts back to the island exam and what they’re actually there to plan.
Yagami suggests forming a single strong first-year group rather than splitting into weaker ones, saying they’ll otherwise struggle against upperclassmen. Osamu Takahashi questions why it has to be only one group, but Yagami explains that dividing power would just hurt their chances. Hōsen agrees to join, but only if two spots are reserved for Class D students in the larger group setup. After some pushback and tension, Yagami accepts it for the sake of unity, and the group finally settles on the idea that the first years need to win together.
Yagami Warns Ayanokōji About the 20 Million Point Bounty

Kikyō Kushida tells Kiyotaka Ayanokōji that a first-year student wants to meet him, and that student turns out to be Takuya Yagami. The three of them sit down, and Yagami immediately brings up an “extremely limited” special test for the first-years. Kushida admits she hasn’t heard anything about it. Yagami then asks Ayanokōji if he minds him speaking in front of her, and Ayanokōji replies that he has no right to stop him. With that, Yagami begins explaining the situation in more detail.
He then adds that he has no interest in being rewarded for sabotaging someone else, and because of that, he has no intention of participating in the special exam.
Also, this connects to the past episode involving Hōsen and Nanase in Episode 4, where Ayanokōji was targeted in an attempt to force his expulsion. Since then, only a few people in Class 2-D like Horikita and Sudō are aware that something unusual is happening behind the scenes.
Who Is Behind the 20 Million Point Bounty?
Yagami then explains the real situation behind the test. Right after they arrived at the school, they received a communique from Student Council President Miyabi Nagumo. The message was clear. Whoever manages to get Kiyotaka Ayanokōji expelled before the second term begins will be rewarded with 20 million private points. So now the identity behind the bounty is finally clear, and it directly points toward Nagumo. Yagami also adds that Acting Chairman Tsukishiro was present when Nagumo delivered this information.
In Episode 5, this comes back up when Suzune and Ayanokōji start questioning who would set up something like placing a 20 million bounty on Ayanokōji’s expulsion. Now they finally get a clearer answer, with suspicion pointing toward Student Council President Miyabi Nagumo, and Acting Chairman Tsukishiro also possibly being involved. The real question is why they would go this far just to target Ayanokōji?
He also mentions the students who were present or involved across the different classes:
- Class 1-A: Takashi Osamu, Kyō Ishigami
- Class 1-B: Takuya Yagami
- Class 1-C: Utomiya Riku
- Class 1-D: Kazuomi Hōsen, Nanase Tsubasa
Kushida’s True Intentions

Ayanokōji then asks Yagami why he decided to tell him all of this. Yagami replies that he heard Hōsen already made his move but failed, and that he used an unnecessarily violent approach. He also says that if he didn’t step in now, Ayanokōji’s classmates could end up getting hurt as well. Ayanokōji thanks him for the concern but warns that speaking this openly could be dangerous for Yagami.
Kushida asks if he will be alright, but Yagami simply says it is fine and that he has not reported anything to the school. He adds that he is prepared to be disliked by some first-years and that conflict between classes is unavoidable anyway. Before leaving, he tells Ayanokōji to be careful, but refuses to name anyone he is specifically worried about, saying that revealing it would only put a target on that person.
After Yagami leaves, Kushida and Ayanokōji are left alone. Kushida admits that Yagami is more capable than she expected, but she is clearly not comfortable with how much he now knows about her past. She quietly suggests that he may need to be dealt with sooner rather than later. Ayanokōji responds that handling people like him or Horikita is usually easier than dealing with lower classmen who think they’re in control. Kushida, on her side, believes that the more confident someone is in their intelligence, the easier it is to manipulate or remove them.
Ayanokōji reminds her of their truce, but Kushida quickly switches back to her usual innocent persona, acting like everything is fine for now before leaving the conversation on a calm note.
Maya Satō and Riku Utomiya’s Plan to Eliminate Hōsen

Right after leaving the cafe, Kiyotaka Ayanokōji is approached by Maya Satō and Riku Utomiya. They want to talk to him about Kazuomi Hōsen. Riku explains that their plan is to force Hōsen to drop out during the upcoming survival game, since they lack private points and cannot afford an early dropout. From their perspective, removing Hōsen early would solve multiple problems at once. They also believe Hōsen was involved in the expulsion of a Class 1-C student, Hatano. Maya adds that their class lost a large number of points because of that incident, and Riku admits he holds a grudge, though their main goal is to prevent further expulsions.
They bring up Hōsen’s refusal to cooperate with other classes and suggest Ayanokōji might be useful since he previously partnered with him during the April test. Ayanokōji questions whether they think he has special access to Hōsen, but they still ask for his help and even offer a reward if he agrees to eliminate Hōsen early. Ayanokōji then asks if they have considered the possibility that he might actually be Hōsen’s ally. Maya points to the injury on his arm from their earlier fight and also mentions they were originally after the 20 million point bounty targeting Ayanokōji, suggesting that already proves they are not allies.
They also admit they have withdrawn from the original plan, since expelling Ayanokōji would have exposed them and made them enemies of Class 2-D. Riku adds that targeting Hōsen carries less risk since some of his own classmates might even support his removal. In the end, their goal remains simple, they want Hōsen expelled.
Ichika, Hōsen, and Nanase’s Three-Way Alliance
Kazuomi Hōsen approaches Ichika Amasawa with the idea of forming an alliance for the deserted island test, aiming to work together to target Ayanokōji. Ichika questions why she would be included in his plan, and Hōsen responds that she has the boldness to actively go after Ayanokōji for the 20 million point bounty. Ichika treats the reward casually and asks what she would gain from it instead.
Tsubasa Nanase then joins the conversation and reminds them that they are supposed to be equals in this arrangement, not operating under a strict leader structure. Hōsen insists they do not need a fourth member and that the three of them are enough, while Ichika questions his confidence and challenges how the four-class cooperation plan would even work. Tension rises as Nanase argues that as long as the group is strong enough, their presence should not raise suspicion.
The discussion shifts to compensation, with Ichika openly asking what she will be paid for participating. Nanase rejects the idea of unequal payment and insists again that they are all equals, but Ichika pushes back, saying their contributions will never truly be equal. She even tried to punch Nanase, testing her strength, but Nanase easily blocks the attack and remains calm. Despite the tension, the three of them eventually agree to form a temporary alliance. Ichika demands an additional reward on top of the group benefit, specifically claiming all points related to expelling Ayanokōji. Nanase strongly objects, warning that giving everything to Class A would be risky, but Hōsen shuts her down and accepts Ichika’s condition.
In the end, Hōsen makes it clear to Nanase that trust does not matter to him. He openly says that verbal agreements mean nothing to him, and if he succeeds in getting Ayanokōji expelled, the 20 million reward will be his alone, regardless of whatever deal was made with the others.
Final Thoughts
Episode 7 doesn’t explode with action on the surface, but it quietly pushes multiple pieces into place at the same time. The 20 million point bounty on Ayanokōji becomes the center of attention, and it’s now strongly linked to Student Council President Miyabi Nagumo, with Acting Chairman Tsukishiro also possibly involved in the background. What looks like separate conversations between different groups is actually starting to connect into one larger setup behind the scenes.
What stands out is how many people are now indirectly targeting Ayanokōji without fully understanding the full picture themselves. At the same time, alliances are already unstable before the survival game even begins, especially with Hōsen, Ichika, and Nanase teaming up.
Key Moments in This Episode:
- The 20 million point bounty on Ayanokōji is revealed to be connected to Student Council President Miyabi Nagumo
- Acting Chairman Tsukishiro is also mentioned as being present during the announcement, raising deeper suspicion
- Hōsen, Ichika, and Nanase form a three-person alliance
- Maya Satō and Riku Utomiya approach Ayanokōji with a plan to eliminate Hōsen during the survival game
- Kushida wanted to eliminate threats like Yagami
This episode leaves more questions than answers. How far will the 20 million point bounty actually go before it triggers direct action against Ayanokōji? Is Miyabi Nagumo truly the main force behind it, or is Acting Chairman Tsukishiro the one pulling the deeper strings? Can the unstable alliance between Hōsen, Ichika, and Nanase actually survive once the survival game begins, or will it collapse the moment real pressure hits?
Episode 8 is expected to shift the focus fully into the survival game, where these setups and alliances will finally start to be tested under real conditions.
