Spoiler Alert: This article contains full spoilers for Classroom of the Elite Season 4 Episode 11.
Episode 11 opens with Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, Tsubasa Nanase, Ken Sudō, Ryōtarō Hondō, and Kanji Ike moving together after an emergency alarm signals that someone nearby is in trouble. As they follow the alert, they eventually come across Kyōgo Komiya and Minori Kinoshita lying unconscious on the ground. Ayanokōji quietly observes the surroundings and notices faint but distinct footprints scattered around the area, enough for him to suspect that this wasn’t just an accident but something involving other people.
This didn’t just happen out of nowhere. Episode 10 is when things started to build up.
Day 4 Begins: The Cliff Incident Involving Komiya and Kinoshita
On Day 4, the group starts talking about how they might not be able to continue the test and could end up dropping out entirely. When Komiya eventually wakes up, he says he didn’t clearly see what happened, only that he suddenly fell. They then ask where Satsuki Shinohara is, but he admits he has no idea where she could be.
While they’re still trying to piece things together, they notice something unusual at the top of a nearby cliff, so Ayanokōji and Ike head up to check it out. There, they find Shinohara. She says she was too scared to call for help and ended up freezing in place. According to her, she saw Komiya and Kinoshita being pushed off the cliff, but she couldn’t clearly make out who did it.
Nanase sees someone running through the woods and immediately runs after them. From behind, the figure looks like Ichika Amasawa. Nanase ends up tripping before she can get close enough to confirm anything, losing sight of the person completely.
Was it really Ichika, and if it was, what would she even gain from doing something like this?
Kazuma Sakagami and Sae Chabashira Arrive at the Scene

Kazuma Sakagami and Sae Chabashira arrive at the scene to assess the situation, immediately confirming that Komiya and Kinoshita can’t continue the test due to their injuries. Sakagami then asks Shinohara if she plans to continue alone, while Chabashira adds that she can avoid dropping out as long as she stays near the starting point, where she can still take nearby challenges and remain in the test safely.
As Shinohara prepares to head back, Ike tries to stop her, insisting he’ll find a way to help her instead of letting her go alone. Shinohara pushes back, telling him he should actually be relieved since her possible expulsion would lower the risk of Ike being targeted as well, but despite that, Ike, alongside his group, Ken Sudō, and Ryōtarō Hondō, decides they’ll still try to support her anyway.
Meanwhile, Ayanokōji quietly whispers something to Chabashira, asking her to check something for him back at the starting point, keeping it vague and confidential.
What exactly did Ayanokōji ask her to look into back at the starting point, and why is he being so careful about it? Is it about Chairman Tokinari Tsukishiro?
Day 5 Begins: Ayanokōji and Ryūen’s Deal
On Day 5, Kiyotaka arrives at area C4, where Kōhei Katsuragi and Kakeru Ryūen are fishing. He brings up the situation with the bottom groups and what happened to the team that was forced to drop out, pointing out that two of the affected students are from Class C, which could mean Ryūen has a reason to get involved.
Ryūen asks Kiyotaka directly if he has a plan to keep Shinohara in the game. As they talk, Ryūen acknowledges that keeping things stable for now would also help keep Shinohara alive in the exam, but he makes it clear he has no problem abandoning “small fries” if they become useless, even referring to Komiya and Kinoshita as useful tools in his eyes.
The two eventually reach a loose agreement. Before leaving, Kiyotaka also asks Ryūen if he has met Ichinose to pass along any information, to which Ryūen responds that Ichinose is still as soft as ever, while also expressing doubt that Sakayanagi would cooperate at all.
C5 Area: Ayanokōji vs Kōenji in a Tug of War Match
At the C5 area, Rokusuke Kōenji is present. He is currently ranked 4th overall. Nanase Tsubasa mentions that he gives off a strong aura. While Kōenji is talking to himself, Nanase asks Ayanokōji if he is talking to them. Ayanokōji replies that Kōenji is actually just talking to himself, which fits his self-centered personality.
This is the first time Ayanokōji and Kōenji face each other in a one-on-one competition, which is presented like a “Tug of War” style game. During the match, Ayanokōji observes that they are evenly matched in this context, but he also notes that Kōenji’s physical abilities are on another level. Despite that, Ayanokōji deliberately chooses to lose the game. Kōenji comments that Ayanokōji really values efficiency. Ayanokōji also reflects that even if he had gone all out, it still wouldn’t have been a decisive or comfortable win. Afterwards, Nanase and Ayanokōji move on to the next destination.
When Ayanokōji says even going all out wouldn’t be much of a match, it does NOT mean Kōenji is clearly stronger in every way. What it likely means:
- In raw physical ability, Kōenji is at or slightly above Ayanokōji in certain areas (especially strength and athletic output).
- In a pure physical game like that “Tug of War” competition, Kōenji has an advantage.
- But Ayanokōji is not talking about a full-scale serious fight with planning, traps, and psychology.
Kōenji is a physical monster, but Ayanokōji is a complete all-around manipulator. That line is about context, not a final power ranking.
D9 Area: Ayanokōji and Sakayanagi Discuss a Deal for Shinohara

At the D9 area, they run into Kōenji again, but since the last boy slot is already filled, only Nanase joins the challenge while Ayanokōji sits out and heads off to meet Arisu Sakayanagi. He brings up a request involving Shinohara, suggesting a way to help her survive the situation. She questions whether he already discussed this with Ryūen, and he confirms that he did, noting Ryūen also sees value in Komiya and Kinoshita.
Sakayanagi, however, says she has no reason to help without gaining anything, offering to cooperate only if Ayanokōji agrees to the same condition in return, to which he replies that he accepts in principle, but more people will still be needed, before telling her to contact him later and leaving the “networking” to her.
Day 6 Begins: Ayanokōji and Nanase at the Mountain Top

Ayanokōji and Nanase climb up the mountain together, and once they reach the top, the conversation slows down as they take in the view and talk about school life. The discussion shifts into a quieter moment where they reflect on what it would mean to actually be happy in this environment, and how different people define that feeling in their own way. They also bring up graduation, thinking ahead about what comes after all of this, and what kind of future might be waiting once school life ends.
Yagami Cornered by Tsubaki and Utomiya

Takuya Yagami questions Sakurako Tsubaki about how far her plans are going, and she responds that expelling Kiyotaka Ayanokōji would bring in 20 million points, making it a highly attractive move for anyone involved, while also warning that refusing to cooperate could lead to consequences, even hinting that someone important to Yagami could end up in danger. When Yagami mentions Kikyō Kushida, Tsubaki immediately questions why he seems so interested in her, but he brushes it off, saying it’s nothing and that he has nothing to share.
Riku Utomiya then grabs him from behind, forcing the situation and telling him to either talk or drop out right there, while Tsubaki presses further, asking why Kushida is an important part of Yagami’s plan and demanding an explanation. Yagami initially refuses to speak, but as the pressure increases and they threaten to go directly to Kushida themselves, he eventually gives in and agrees to reveal everything.
Final Thoughts
Episode 11 escalates the situation as the cliff incident immediately shifts the tone of the test into something far more serious. What initially looked like an accident quickly turns into a possible case of foul play, with multiple testimonies that don’t fully align and Shinohara becoming a key figure in the middle of it all. At the same time, Ayanokōji continues to move in the background, quietly connecting different groups and individuals instead of reacting directly, making it harder to understand whether he is controlling the situation or simply adapting to it as it unfolds.
Key Moments in This Episode:
- Komiya and Kinoshita are found unconscious after the cliff incident
- Shinohara claims she witnessed them being pushed, but couldn’t identify the culprit
- Nanase chases a suspicious figure that looks like Ichika Amasawa
- Ayanokōji quietly asks Chabashira to investigate something at the starting point
- Sakayanagi enters negotiations with Ayanokōji regarding Shinohara and group cooperation
- Yagami is pressured by Tsubaki and Utomiya into revealing information about Kushida
What is really going on behind this cliff incident? Was this simply an attack, or is it part of a larger chain of movements happening across the island at the same time? Shinohara’s testimony raises more questions than answers, especially since the identity of the attacker remains unclear, while Nanase’s pursuit of a possible Ichika sighting adds another layer of suspicion. At the same time, Ayanokōji continues to position himself between Ryūen, Sakayanagi, and even Chabashira, as if gathering pieces of a bigger puzzle rather than focusing on the immediate incident.
With Yagami being forced to reveal information about Kushida, it also raises the possibility that multiple independent plans are running in parallel, all converging toward the same point without fully exposing themselves yet. Is the cliff incident connected to these hidden movements, or is it just a distraction within a much larger strategy already in motion?
Will Episode 12 finally reveal who pushed Komiya and Kinoshita off the cliff? And more importantly, what is Yagami really planning with Kushida, and how does it connect to everything that’s been happening on the island?
