Nami and Zeus vs Giant Bee
Episode 1157 opens with Nami waking up still confused about where she is, with no clear idea how she even got there. The last thing she remembers is celebrating with the giants at a banquet, which makes everything feel even more strange.

That confusion doesn’t last long, though. She suddenly gets attacked by a giant bee, forcing her to react immediately. Using Zeus, Nami fights back and manages to defeat it, but she’s left questioning what’s going on and why there is a giant bee in the first place.
We could see Zeus shifting between different states, from his normal cloud form to a lightning-charged form, before returning to normal.
Nami and Usopp vs Giant Monsters
Giant Porcupine Creature Attack
Nami suddenly finds herself face-to-face with a massive porcupine-like creature. She freezes in shock at its size, and her reaction briefly startles the creature as well. But that moment quickly shifts as it gets angry, turns aggressive, and starts chasing Nami.
Usopp Gets Eaten by the Crowned Cat
While trying to escape, Nami witnesses something even more insane. Usopp gets eaten by a gigantic cat wearing a crown. Yeah, that is exactly what happens. The situation keeps spiraling further out of control as both of them struggle just to survive.
Zeus Saves Nami at the Last Second
As the porcupine creature closes in, Nami calls out Zeus again. Zeus extends into the creature’s mouth and unleashes a powerful lightning blast from inside. It works, but the situation is far from over. The impact causes the surrounding area to start collapsing.
Nami falls with the collapsing structure but lands on top of the giant cat, which softens her impact. The porcupine creature also falls during the chaos. Still charged with Zeus’s lightning, both it and the cat get hit by another burst of electricity. The porcupine is taken down. The cat, however, is still alive and now completely furious.
Absinthe Mystery and Hallucination Theory
Nami and Usopp regroup while trying to catch their breath and make sense of what’s happening. That’s when they remember the drink from earlier. Sanji mentioned it was strong, and one of the giants called it absinthe, also known as the “green fairy,” a drink often linked to hallucinations. Then they start questioning everything, and maybe none of this is real.
As Nami and Usopp run, they end up hitting a dead end with nowhere left to escape. The giant cat is closing in on them fast. Still thinking about hallucinations, Usopp says that if that theory is true, then the cat they are seeing might just be a hallucination too. The moment he says it, the cat immediately walks up and slaps him across the face. I think Usopp is fully convinced that the cat is very real.
The Situation Gets Worse Fast
The cat’s slap is so powerful that the ground beneath them starts collapsing. All three of them are suddenly falling through the structure. When they land, Nami catches a glimpse of a skeleton nearby and immediately panics, shouting as if Usopp had turned into Brook for a second. Meanwhile, Usopp is just lying there completely unconscious.
A Giant Lion Appears
As Nami tries to wake Usopp up, a new monster appears! A giant lion wearing a crown slowly approaches them. Nami desperately tries to shake Usopp awake. When he finally comes to, he instantly freaks out after seeing the lion right in front of them. As the lion keeps closing in, ready to attack and possibly eat them, Nami panics and even considers using Usopp as a shield just to survive.
The Monster Trio Arrives
Just when everything is about to get out of control, backup finally shows up. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji arrive and immediately change the situation. They don’t waste any time and head straight for the giant lion.
Attacks The Monster Trio used:
- Luffy uses Gear 3 with Gum Gum Elephant Whip
- Sanji uses Ifrit Jambe Épaule Strike
- Zoro uses Three Sword Style Black Rope Dragon Twister
With just one coordinated strike, the monster is completely defeated.
But something strange happens right after. The massive lion starts shrinking down, rapidly returning to its smaller form. In seconds, it is revealed to be the same crowned cat they encountered earlier. And just like that, the original East Blue crew stands together on the battlefield once more. A rare nostalgic moment as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji are finally reunited.
East Blue Crew Reunion Hits Different
With Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, and Usopp all together, it’s basically the East Blue crew again. And honestly, it hits hard. We don’t get this lineup often anymore, so seeing them together again in a random, chaotic situation like this feels nostalgic.
The mood quickly turns comedic though:
- Sanji checks on Nami, worried about her
- Nami says she was scared and casually says Usopp died
- Sanji says Usopp would be happy to die for her
- Usopp is still alive and calls Nami out and says he’ll never forget being used as a shield
Where Are They Really?
Now that things have finally calmed down, the crew starts asking the real question, where exactly are they? They still cannot tell if this is Elbaf or somewhere completely different, and everything around them feels off. Even their clothes and surroundings seem slightly out of scale, like something is not quite right. Luffy even wonders if he might have turned into a giant, but Zoro quickly shuts that idea down. On top of that, they realize the rest of the crew is still missing. Sanji casually mentions that Robin is not around, saying his “lady radar” would have picked her up by now.
This is similar to what happened during the Egghead arc when Sanji tried to locate Bonney using his “lady radar.” It’s basically his own weird version of tracking people. Some even joke that his observation is strongest when it comes to detecting girls specifically, almost like a specialized form of haki tuned only for that.
Heading to Town
With no real answers, the group decides the only option is to move forward and find people who can explain what is going on. They set their sights on a nearby town, hoping it would give them some clarity. Even then, none of them is fully convinced this is real, with questions still hanging over whether everything they experienced was a hallucination or something else entirely.
Final Thoughts
Episode 1157 opens up with a lot of questions. Nami wakes up in a completely unknown place and is immediately thrown into a fight against massive creatures. At first, everything feels unreal, almost like a hallucination, but it quickly becomes clear that the danger is very real and not just a dream.

Episode 1158 may start revealing the truth behind their location and show what’s really going on in this strange Island.
